The most famous of Francesco Cilea's operas, first heard in 1902, owes its popularity to the opportunities it provides
for an established prima donna in the title role. She is the leading actress in this 18th-century comedy, in an elegant and
complex plot of artistic rivalry and amorous intrigue. This is a unique opportunity to hear Nelly Miricioiu in one of her
most famous roles.
