Rebecca Horn: Bodylandscapes

Rebecca Horn is a leading figure in international contemporary art and has created mesmerising works in a variety of media for over three decades.Bodylandscapes explores Horn’s continual investigation into the human body its emotional trajectories and its physical limitations and shows for the first time the importance of drawing in her practice.

Rebecca Horn: Les Amants

Rebecca Horn’s interest in the body intensified in the late 1960s after long stays in hospitals and sanatoriums following a serious illness. This influence can be seen throughout the exhibition from kinetic sculpture to schematic drawings, from poetry to performance. Anticipation and precise timing combine to create a tension that heightens our sensory awareness and produces an unforgettable and breathtaking experience.

Rebecca Horn Moon Mirror

St Paul's Cathedral 27 June - 13 July 05

In conjunction with Rebecca Horn Bodylandscapes and forming part of a series of art installations developed for the City of London Festival, St Paul's Cathedral shoed show Rebecca Horn's spectacular installation, Moon Mirror. Light, mirrors, poetry and music combine in this floor-to-celing installation that invites viewers to gaze into a seemingly infinite well.

Moon Mirror is supported by Peter and Elisabetta Mallinson and Michael Hamlyn.
